Across Chicago and across America, workers are standing up to demand what we deserve.
A credible strike threat is our strongest weapon. At Local 705 we don’t just talk, we prepare.
Hundreds of members attended our recent training on how to organize and execute a winning strike.
Local 705 has a proud track record of winning strikes from the moving industry to the tanker industry to freight. On August 1, we will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the 1997 UPS Strike victory, the biggest strike in Teamster history.
In 2023, we will be ready to answer the call again. We have new fighting leadership in our International Union. I’m proud to be a part of it.
But a united membership is the backbone of Teamster power.
It’s up to each of us to educate other members about our contracts and our rights, to share information, to build unity, and to have each other’s backs.
Get active, get educated and build the union power we need to win.
